We highlighted the Neiman Marcus Christmas catalogue when it was announced early this month not knowing they actually sold anything out of it. How wrong we were!
General Motors says the 100 special edition 2011 Chevrolet Camaro Convertibles created for the annual Nieman Marcus Christmas Book sold out in three minutes. According to the automaker, the cars were sold via special telephone reservation process a few hours after the car appeared on NBC’s Today Show.
Each of the cars, which are souped-up Camaro SS versions, and which haven’t actually been built yet, feature luxury appointments from Neiman Marcus. The owners take delivery next spring.
The $75,000 cars have “Deep Bordeaux” exterior paint, “ghosted” rally stripes, matching fabric top interior and inside windshield frame finished in matte silver.
