David Archuleta will be performing in concert this Christmas with the Mormon Tabernacle Choir. America’s largest Christmas concert is held every year in Salt Lake City and features the Mormon Tabernacle Choir and Orchestra on Temple Square appearing with critcally acclaimed performers from all over the world. The event is attended by more than 80,000 people over 3 nightly performances and is featured on PBS each season and released on DVD yearly. Last year’s concert featured Natalie Cole and David McCullough. Previously the choir and orchestra appeared in concert at Christmas with Angela Lansbury, Gladys Knight, Renee Flemming, Bryn Terfel, Brian Stokes Mitchell, Walter Cronkite, the King Singers, Frederica von Stade, Edward Hermann, Audra MacDonald, and other big names of Broadway, opera, pop and narration.
The event, which is free to the public, traditionally “sells out” within a few short hours. The concerts will be presented on Thursday, December 16, 2010, 8:00 p.m. (dress rehearsal), and Friday and Saturday, December 17–18, 2010, at 7:30 p.m. On Sunday, December 19, 2010, the Choir’s weekly Music and the Spoken Word broadcast will also feature Archuleta with a mini-concert immediately following. All the concerts will be held in the Conference Center in Salt Lake City, Utah. Patrons may register online from Saturday, October 9, 12:01 a.m., through Monday, October 18, 11:59 p.m. The registration page will be accessible by clicking here.
